Crappy cupholder upgrade

Hi folks, newbie here. On my 97 tournament there are these shallow cupholders in the bow area. Anyone upgrade or modify them to be reasonably functional? Thanks

You could just cut some HDPE spacers to go underneath it - build it to the height you want.

Good idea. I have some leftover 3/4 " Starboard. Just don't want it to catch on anything

Is there foam in the area underneath that could get soaked? If so, I "guess" you could plug the cupholder and seal it really well (if it fits in the space)?

If I do this, Id get a cupholder w a drain spout, and run tubing to the bilge.
