I have been working on a Boston Whaler with a Suzuki df140 to sell. I had taken out the pressure relief valve walked ten or so feet and a crow landed screamed took the ball and flew away. Thought WTF evil bird. I can not find anything on the ball, nothing on schematics. Ordered new valve thinking it would come with it but no. Anyone know what it is called or part number. any help would be greatly appreciated. We have also been doing a lot of work on Marlin and decided we have time for one boat. THX

Don't look on the internet, look for the crow. That "egg" is in his nest. Then get a 20ga.

This is a real bummer but funny at the same time. A friend of mine was laying out the 42 new parts he purchased to rebuild his small kicker. I told him about your misfortune and believe me, he will be watching the birds!
Good luck with your motor.

Called Suzuki , there is no ball at the end of pressure valve. Crow must have been telling me something. This winter after sitting for 4 months I took the Whaler out of storage to do some trout fishing. Made it two miles shut down. Disconnected primer bulb, it was crushed in meaning water separator is full of water. Dump water separator primed bulb straight water. Called for tow. Pumped a five gallon bucket while waiting for tow boat. Took it home pumped at least 15 gallons of water before I found gas. It was stored full btw. There was water in oil. Did leak down perfect compression 240 all four. Flushed old oil out. Ran it three hours runs out fine. Why so much water in a full tank?? Why is there a ball in the pressure relief valve? Why did the mechanic that looked at it say motor is done how much would you sell it for right now?? :hmm . Asked him about ball he said it was very important??? Same week end moved the marlin to storage lost counter lower unit on the way. Just replaced steering rams and shifting cables. I have sence acquired a mechanic that a feel comfortable with to use when I don't have the time or ability. I have also found our local Grady dealership a excellent place to get your boat repaired. They boats are stored at a small yard that stores and repairs, carma is coming to them on a fast train.

Sounds like you are getting rainwater through your vent.

Thought of that but 20 gallons on a 35 gallon tank stored full?

Sorry, but that's funny. Don't know what to tell you about "the ball". We have Ravens here...my wife feeds them....to repay her they like ripping the rubber out of the wiper blades on her car! Pisses me off...I get to put them back together time and time again. My shotgun would fix this problem...but.......hope you solve your issue.
