Cruising speed

Does any know what cruising speed to expect on a 1987 25 sailfish with a mercruiser 350 mag mpi

Just a wild guess, but I would think about 25mph. I gather the 454 was more common back then and I suspect the cruising speed would be a little higher, I guess about 27mph. Not sure, but Grady used to have test reports for boats from the 1980's in their archives. I would reach out to them.
