My gelcoat is beginning to hold some blood stains at the end of the day, probably needs a buff and wax. In the midst of a fishing blitz I do my best to get blood off ASAP but there are always some clots that leave a ring when scrubbed off at the end of the day. They usually fade away in a day of sun but I was wondering if you have a recommendation for a cleaner to keep handy in a spray bottle. I'm told Woody Wax is good for that, maybe something else called Roll Off?

One of the best things you can do to help with blood stains is hydrogen peroxide. Ideally, right after an event like a tuna frenzy catch slows down, spray hydrogen peroxide all over the cockpit and let it set for a few minutes and then rinse well. Retreat tough spots. It helps with dried stains also. It's a cheap product.

Starbright non-skid deck cleaner. Comes in spray bottles and larger containers.

Woody is a great product. It is petroleum based and will evaporate in a month or so. Good stuff, expensive and you need to apply often,

I find that 3M's gel coat compounds, heavy, medium, and/or light, removes the stains where everything else failed.
