When I picked up the boat for the year, they told me that the fuel tank float and sender seemed to have frozen up over the winter, but that it may loosen up after I bounce over a few waves. They said they would come replace it if it did not. (I live about 1/2 hour drive away.)
It did not come back to life on my boat ride home, so I emailed to let them know.
I didn't think anymore about it, although I was beginning to wonder how much fuel I had remaining. Yesterday, unsolicited, I received a call that they were going to be coming by to replace it, and was that ok with me?
So they replaced it. My fuel guage works again. ...and most importantly, I did not need to harass anyone to get it taken care of.
