On the starboard side of my 265 there are 2 "long scupper" thru holes ( item I on page
6-29 of my owners manual.) My nephew said the left one (on the starboard side) is cracked and needs replacing. I was wondering what size this is.
He noticed rusty water coming out of it, and saw that it was cracked.
I think it may have been damaged when I hit a submerged board when I brought the boat to be taken out for winter. I never noticed dripping rust crap in past years when I've had the boat out so I'm hoping not to see too soaked or rotten wood you know where!
Anyway the plan is to replace the thru hull! To my fellow 265 owners how hard of a job will it be? Can I access that thru hull without removing my main deck plate?
Thanks in advance!

I had to replace two - buy the part direct from Grady for about 65 dollars -
How hard - very - very - very hard -
You need wicked long arms, two people, ect -
FYI - There are double hose clamps on each connection -

Tim did you have to remove the main deck plate? What size was the thru hull? Do you happen to have the part number? When you replaced them
did you find any hull damage?

You do not need to remove the main deck plate -
I never had the P/N - I went right to Grady and told them what I needed -
I bet if you called them they could tell you -
They had to order it.
No hull damage - Not sure why mine cracked - maybe water in the transom expanded over winter? Maybe over tight when new?

I check them very closely before I put the boat away this fall - no new ones broke this spring -

Not really sure why they broke-
