Deluxe helm chair

Does anyone with this chair experience difficulties raising the height of this chair? It should be able to be accomplished with the lever under the seat but our chair will not budge. I noticed it on our 2017 boat and the the BRAND new 330 express in the Atlantic City show this past winter. Not sure if it’s a common issue, but I’ve had every nut, bolt, and screw loose short of dismantling the entire chair. 2 grown men could not not raise the seat with a third man activating the lever to release the pneumatic cylinder. UPDATE:

If you have this issue with a deluxe II helm chair there is a plastic sleeve between the two cylinders that tends to get crinkled up and jambs the lift/lower function on the chair. Our dealer was aware of the issue happening prior to us and Grady is sending a new post and floor mount at no cost.
