Lee,
There are several ways to power electric reels.
On Skookum I have Scotty downriggers and use the Scotty plugs under the gunnel to power the Tanacom 750 reels. A couple of my buddies bought battery packs that strap on for more mobility when fighting fish.
Regards, Mike
I installed a pair of these Marinco outlets for my Daiwa TB750 reels. Installed under gunnel as the rear of the boat. You can install 20 amp inline fuse holder or bring to a fuse block. Not sure GW offers an option or anticipated a need.
The boat doesn’t matter. You need an outlet that accepts your cable to your reel.
I have the same Marinco outlets. You should have the power on a switch not to battery. I powered mine from my capstan breaker switch. That way it only has power when that switch is on…almost never…. Less corrosion than powering by battery switch
Here in Europe we use mostly CEE16 outlets and plugs but they are a bit bulky.
There is also a purple 2 pin 12/24V version, if this is not available the one below works well and just don't connect the ground pin.
There are also several types of outlets and Plugs used for electric trolling motors and they are smaller as the one above or the Marinco kind.
Pull two correct diameter +2V and -12V cable from the battery switch on the switched pole to the place you want to install the outlet and install a fuse near the connection to +12V
Correct diameter and fuse depend on max amp draw of your electric reel.
