Last winter I posted that I was in the process of updating my 20 year electronics and looking for tips. As always I got a flood of great ideas and suggestion. I ended going with Garmin primarily because they had a great unit, the 8610 xsv , and picked up two of them with a 10" screen.s. Also went with a Garmin Phantom Radar. There were also many great tips from the group on upgrading my panel with a surface mount instead of having them hidden in the electronic cabinet.
Well it took most of the summer to get it done but it was worth the wait. I used New Wire Marine to fabricate a custom panel using their Luxe Matte acrylic. New Wire is a fantastic company to work with from start to finish - from sales productions they kept you informed during the process, and they actually reached out a couple of time with some great suggestions on improving the design. It was really a pleasure doing business NWM. Attache dare the before and after pics. Thanks for all the suggestions!
