engine flush 209

Would it be possible to use the fresh water wash down system to flush engine ? I have a 2013 grady 209 fisherman .

Yes you are right, the hose from the flush port to engine is thin, i overseen that.
Interesting idea and would be nice if it works as supposed and let us know and write a how to whan you do it.
I need to think about a remote flush also as the new BF350 are so big and have a soft lightweight cowling that going there is uncomfortable.
You brought me a new idea instead of the usual remote flush solution using a normal water hose and quick connectors

In thinking about my solution, I think that I may not need to make any holes or install bulkhead mounted fittings. If I just connect the new hose to the original one, zip tie the hose to the rigging tubes and end the hose with a quick connect in the motor well but easier to get to, I would just reach down, grab the end of the flush hose and plug in the feed hose. The important item is to select a quick connect that shuts off when no connect fitting is plugged into it to stop engine cooling water from constantly running out.

I had the 20 hour oil change today and while waiting i had a quick look at my flush system, seriously dumb position for a moored or slipped boat ...
When i have time i probably adapt your idea to my beasts as it would make flushing much more easier than climbing and kneeing down in the splashwell.
