Is Salt-Away a safe recommended product to use on Yamaha's. How well does it work? Any tips to using this product?
Thank you.

I have a 2000 yami motor. I flush with fresh water after every outing and I flush with Saltaway as part of winter prep for storage. Does it help? I don't know but when I replaced my t-stats this year after 4 years of use, there wasn't a single crystal of salt on them or the housings. I use an adapter that has a container for the treatment and connects to my muffs. I also use the saltaway on my trailer.

Thanks for the information. I was planning to use it through the built in flushing hose. Will this work okay?

I think that to get the best results, the motor should be running and warm and you can't run yours on the flushing port.
