Hi - I'm thinking about raising my engines by one hole and am wondering where others are at with similar boats. My particular boat is a 1994 Sailfish which has the eurotransom but not the full running surface. The 94-97's were built way so I am especially interested in those but also interested in any Sailfish or similar.
I'm currently in the second hole from the top. When I am lightly loaded, it looks perfect (AV plate clear of the water) but with medium load I get a lot of splashing. I've changed over to a different style prop (Rebel 15.5 x 17) which is supposed to hold better then my previous prop (Viper 14.75 x 19) and I didn't have any blowout problems with my previous prop.
