I used to have twin 470s in my 25' Kingfish. Can't give you any fuel numbers as I did not have flo scans but they were economical. I used to cruise at 3300 to 3400 RPM and that would yield a 24 knot cruise depending on the load aboard. They are not chevy manufacture, they are made by Mercruiser and the aluminum blocks were cast by Mercruiser. If memory serves mine were around 226 or 224 CI. Pretty much half a big block V-8. I have heard that the cast iron heads were the same used on 427 chevys or 460 fords, I don't know for sure but the ford rumor seems to be more prominent. My 470 had two barrel carbs and yours have four barrel and I am unsure but maybe a more aggressive cam too. I think it was just a carb difference though. I always ran aluminum props as some others here ran stainless and had some drive issues. I used to send my drives out every other year aqnd had no problems.

They do have some idiosyncracies but all in all served me well. Do a search here as there have been a few previous threads about these motors.

I have seen the engine you are talking about, it is like half of a 390 ford v-8, my engines are smaller.
look under Gallery in the forum, scroll down to 25 ft trophy pro this is my boat exectly the same, and same condition I could not tell if that was my boat everything is the same.

If you are saying that the boat in the gallery has the same engines as yours they sure look like the engines I had. Read the ID tag on top and of the motor and see what the displacement is. If it says 488 on the ID tag, to my knowledge, it is the 470/488 aluminum Mercruiser produced from the 70s into at least the late 80s. If your engines are not like those pictured they may be the much newer 135 HP fours available presently.

My friend has a 470 in his Welcraft. When tuned up and running properly it's fairly economical and has decent power. Keep the cables lubed and an eye on the riser.
