Here is a retractile sun shade my brother and I are working on.
After this past summer, frying in the sun we knew we needed something to get some shade.

I saw the power shade the Boston Whaler have been installing but they are way too expensive and if
the top wasn't designed to house the system it just won't look right.

This is made from 1 inch and 7/8 tubing with off the shelf hardware.
Still have to get the fabric made yet.

When finished I will post more pics.

That is pretty darn slick.
Maybe a couple of dual sided velcro cable ties to hold the assembly tight when collapsed down.
Would you be willing to provide a series of pics, material list and rough cost?

Thanks guys,
The canvas will get done during the winter (hopefully).
It won't be until March or April until I get the installation complete.
Everything you see is off the shelve components. 7/8 tube sliding into 1 inch.
The hard part was getting it squared up on the hardtop and get your hands into the
the storage compartment mesh to install the nuts.
I used the tubing bender mandrel from Harbor Freight to get the bow in the tubing.
