factory bracket & shaft length

I have a 206G that will need a repower someday in the not so distant future. I'm wondering if a 20" shaft will work on the factory bracket. Has anyone tried or have an opinion?

If you currently have a 25" shaft then thats what you need to replace it with. if you are unsure about what the propper shaft length is contact grady customer service, thats what they are there for and they are happy to help. its my understanding theres not 5" of wiggle room for the wrong length engine.
