I have a 1999 Fisherman 222 and the gears are shots on the factory installed mechanical steering system.

I am going to take this opportunity to upgrade to a Seastar hydraulic system. I was just checking to see if anyone has done this and what concerns/issues I may encounter? I still need to measure what length hoses I need.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thx

Get yourself an Edson comfort grip wheel now with a spinner with this upgrade..........You'll think you've died and gone to heaven. It's on the top of my list this off season rehab.

I have ‘95 192 that I am want to do the same thing. Lot of slop in my old helm. I watched a couple of YouTube videos seems pretty straight forward. Maybe kinda tough to bleed.
