Yesterday morning I went to the Fishing For Food Event at the Buckroe Fishing pier in Hampton Virginia. Admission to the pier was free if you brought a bag a food to benefit the local food bank. This is a great pier, if you have not been there you should try it sometime.
Unfortunately I had to leave the pier early because my wife called and said our 16 year old dog walked off and she could not find him. We spent the rest of the day and night looking for him with the help of all of my friends and family to no avail. This morning we roamed around and still could not find him. At 1200hrs today the SPCA (pound) opened up and we were relieved that he was there. Some one had found him and brought him there yesterday afternoon. Thank God, cause neither of us were ready to part with our best fury friend yet, even though he is half blind, deaf and limpy.
This afternoon I took out my older Polaris PWC for a quick run from my house in Poquoson and managed to catch a couple of Tau Togs and a Sheepshead. It was a little sloppy with the bay at 2-4 feet and west winds at 15-20 mph so I only stayed out for a little while. Here are a couple of pictures from this weekend.
