(FIXED)99 130TXRY low oil display blinking and alarm?

No. Not the Cdi. The Cdi is the box on the rear of the engine. The oil control box is like a brain to the oil system only. It even has a sensor in it that knows the tilt of the engine so the oil pump is not activated when the engine is in full tilt. Takes the info from the sensors, then tells the ecm, and guages what Is going on with the oil system. Easiest way to diagnose is to swap out with a good used one. I’ve never actually tried to test a box since I have one to swap out with. I would be happy to send you a good used control box and both used tank sensors for like 25 bucks plus shipping just to help you out. That would allow you to have some diag tools in the future if a sensor fails.

That would be awesome, thank you! Just send me a PM with the details on payment and I will get it to you.

Some Yami gauges have colored symbols. Your digital LCD displays do not. The flashing bars are the indicators.

Another question. My tilt/trim indicator in my tach stays on about 2.5 or 3 no matter how much I trim the motor up or down. Is it sensed by the position of the motor or the position of the boat in the water? Where would I find the sensor for it?

You were right! Sensor was fine, the little stop was split and spinning on that shaft. Thank you again!!!

Well the last thing I did on the boat was take the main oil tank off and drain the oil in it. I also took the in tank strainer off on the main tank and noticed the foam gasket that goes around the strainer stem was not where it was supposed to be. I also manipulated the main tank float to turn the pump on and let oil pour out of the feeder tube so I knew it was getting good flow. Lastly I put a hose clamp around the trim sensor collar to hold it in place until the new one comes in. Dont know which one but one of those was the fix because I ran it today for almost 2 hours with no problem. So I drained the oil, and the pump and made sure lines are clear, put the foam gasket back on the strainer, and clamped the trim sensor so it wouldn't rotate. One of those fixed it just not quite sure which one.

Just to be clear; The big tank in the locker is called the Remote tank. The MAIN tank is the smaller one on the motor itself. I take it your worked on the REMOTE tank strainer.

No, I removed the Main tank on the engine and drained the oil from it. There is an oil strainer that sits down in the main tank that the float and sensor goes in. Its #25 in this diagram.MjI3NTc2-56b2a749.png
