There is a GREAT feature on this that you can't make yourself. The male hose ends can spin! It makes connecting and disconnecting a breeze.
I did away with my TH marine "Quick Connect" outboard hose fittings that never lasted more than a season and sometimes dribbled.
I added short hoses (you get them at Home Depot...remove the big spring that would rust) and good bronze ball valves...no more dribble..
I needed the short grey hoses because the valves needed some clearance from the motor. The female thread of the motor is plastic on the Zukes so no issue with corrosion of hose thread.
The short grey hoses and valve remain in place always. The green hoses easily spin on/off. No need to add more quick connects.
I'm guessing this would work well with Yamahas too.
The Y of the double hose comes with a quick connect and a there is a spray nozzle.
The Salt-Away thing is separate. It stays on the water hose.
My dock has great water pressure and motors will flush at the same time.
