Folding motor dam removal question

I was told by an authorized Yamaha Tech. not to trailer with motor tilted all the way up and then he gave me one of these (Yamaha version). Seems to ride much better with motor down lower. Better for transom.

I have one of those but there is a grease fitting and a wire where it would contact. I’ve been trailering it backed down on the tilt locks.
