I removed the netting on the post side pocket where the radio stereo head is located because the netting looked ratty. It left about one dozen very small holes where the netting had passed through. Any ideas either on the best way to cover/fill these small holes or put some sort of cover over the entire pocket to hide the holes? The plastic bungs I have used to fill the holes now looks crappy.

But, I think I have an idea of what you have. It sounds like a plastic "tub" mounted into the wall. Probably held on with screws? So, if you don't really have a need for it, you can make a plate out of just about anything and remove the tub. Use the tub for a template. HDPE, lexan/similiar, etc, etc. Even a piece of painted wood.
For the little push-in plastic pieces - a place like Mcmaster-carr typically has many of these things... even an auto parts store will them - although the auto parts store will usually only have black. But some spray paint (that works on plastic) can make them look better. Tip... drill small holes in a piece of wood and "just barely" insert the pins into the holes to hold them in place while painting.

Does the stereo have to be mounted inside the tub... or could it be face mounted to a cover plate?
Could the stereo go somewhere else?
Check out the various boxes/tubs/etc that a place like Boat Outfitters has.
Or even just a new tub like a small electronics box or glovebox that is easily sourced online. It may not necessarily need to be the same size.
