1999 Gradywhite 222 with a two fuel tank configuration. Can't find the location of the 96 gal fuel tank sending unit. The smaller 56 gal is located aft and the access plate for the 96 gal tank is at the helms however no sending unit only the filler hoses.

On a 1997 268 there are two access ports in the deck. The sending units are directly below them so that can be serviced. Call GW and possibly pull deck. Was the tank ever replaced?

Yeah, the sending unit is on the other end of your larger tank. Hoses are at the top as you said.
If there is no access plate over it, you will have to pull the deck plate up.
The good news is its not too difficult to do.
Here is a pic of my new 228 main tank so you get the idea.

While in there you may want to add an inspection port. GW uses Beckson Marine if interested.
