fuel smell in galley

this may seem odd but when I fill my boats front tank, the fuel smell inside is unbearable.
the boat is 92 sportbridge...
It only seems to smell when I fill the tank full...
where do I start looking to see where it's venting from...
doesn't seem to be leaking.
the smell seems to be coming from behind the aft bunk wall
Where do i start?

Your fill hose probably has a leak. If you take down the panels in the aft bunk you can see the hose. If it's original, time to change (or go BOOOM).

Grog is on it.

Only takes one drop to stink up the place.
Take down the lower berth rear middle panel, and remove the piece of wood on top back there. The fill and vent lines to the main tank are right below it, verify clamp tightness.

Then go to the cockpit starboard side, lay down, and look under the gunnel and forward, you will see the four vent and fill lines. Reach and snug the clamps up. I was able to access all four clamps even though some hoses are behind others.

I doubt you have a bad hose, possible, but I doubt it.
My hoses were all Lawrence branded, and fine. Don't know if Grady used same brand on all 92s.

I had some corrosion on the alum tank nipple, but mine didn't work all the way under the clamp area.
