I have the original chip that came with the boat (Navionics US Mid Atlantic & Canyons Jan 2006). It offers almost no details once I get a few miles from shore. I believe the manufacturer offers a update program if you send them your old chip. In addition, I think they offer a fishing chip that offers much more detail than the standard chip. Anybody have the fishing chip? Is it worth it? I believe my Furuno unit only has one card slot, how do I use the two chips?
