I have a 2010 275 tournament that I just upgraded the navionics on. I had the Garmin 4212 and just installed the Garmin 8616xvs with very little cutting to the opening. The template was about 3/4" bigger on the top and two sides. I set the bottom of the template right on the existing cut out from the old 4212. I ran the new power cable right where the old one connected to under the helm. The rest of my equipment such as my garmin radar, garmin xm, GPS, fusion stereo, vhf, all plugged either right back into the new unit or stayed on the nmea 2000 network which plugged right into the new 8616xsv. My airmar dual frequency sonar transducer also plugged into the back with no problem. Lastly I installed a new garmin gt56 high definition transducer which is incredible!
Since I hadn't heard of anyone installing a 16 inch screen on any older Gradys I thought it would be a great idea to post it here for others to ponder on. Yes, the 8616xsv is spendy but worth every penny. My boat is as complete as a brand new 275 Freedom with this upgrade. The install was much easier than I figured
