Thought I'd drop a picture of where we mounted the hydraulic pump for a Garmin Autopilot unit we put in last week. It is the black box with the small purple stub connector to STBD of the genny (left of the genny housing in the picture) on the horizontal stringer under the swim step. The purple nurple takes a cord that snakes to the helm, the one in the package doesn't reach but Garmin sells a longer one for not too much $....
My only concern (as with my watermaker pump in a prior post) is excessive water in the bilge sloshing around, but the bilge pumps are good and I'm considering adding a bit of a plastic bulkhead as a splash guard.
Anyway for what it is worth, that's where we put it.
