gas gauge not working

My 86 Overnighter 204 gas gauge is not working. The fuse looks good, and this boat I recently acquired and am getting the kinks out. Any ideas what I could check? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.....

I got the gas gauge working on it.

Well I forgot to check the switch on the control panel...duh! What a relief...you never know when you buy used how much you may have overlooked. I am totally relieved...
