I have few chips, scratches etc in the gel coat that I would like to repair.
What gel coat repair products are recommended? Any tips for the do it yourselfer? The boat is a 93 Explorer. The color is more white than the newer beize/cream Gradys.

thanks,

use a product called spectrum color. It can be ordered off the internet. They match it very closely to the boat's color. Use it with some very fine grit wet sanding paper. It makes a great repair, and is only noticable if you know where to look, and look closely.

I 2nd spectrum color. On a newer boat, one that the gel coat has yet to fade, you can do a repair that will turn out so well, it will be undetectable. Even by yourself.

I have heard that with older boats that are faded, the repair can be noticed because of the difference in color and shine between the repaired area and the faded area.
