A month ago had a problem starting my generator(FP), turned on the switch, push start and then everything on the switch went dead. Called my dealer, within a week had a new switch(thanks). The following week generator started and worked great, put another 8 hours on it. Last week tried to start the gen and same problem. I was told that the first time the fuse had blown while trying to start, they replace the fuse but did not start, so they changed the whole switch panel. Anybody had a problem like this?

we have an '05 fisher panda 4200. same problem. the 25 amp fuse blows and closes down system. keep spares, green i think. our starter was drawing too many amps, the bendix could not disengage from the flywheel. bought a new/ rebuilt from f/p @ $351. keep spare Hella relays and replace as necessary. do not hold starter button down for more than 20 seconds as it overworks this starter. i'm just this weekend replacing the starter. keep an eye on oil levels.
