Getting Owner Info From Registration Number

'Morning Gents,
I've been eye-balling a boat for sale at a brokerage. Haven't made any serious offers because I haven't sold mine yet. It's been for sale a while and the guy took it off the market; so the brokerage told me. They wouldn't give me contact info on the owner. Is there any way to find the owner with a registration number? The boat is registered in Florida. Thanks.

Only if you have a cop or DMV very good friend, they can check reggie numbers, also insurance brokers can do that too.

Depends on the state...in GA the registration numbers and owners are public record. You can download the entire file off the internet (all 400K+ current registrations) in less then a minute....
