So, it is a black one, but I have a chance to grab a GoLight model 2049M for 150, never been installed.

Would you do it?

dont know much about golight but seems ok i guess.

Better with a good handheld. Should only be used very briefly to identify nearby unlighted objects.

If you mount that beast on the hardtop, you will get terrible glare back from the forward railings and the foredeck. Of course, you could shitcan your anchor and mount it out on the pulpit, like a SeaRay. LOL

The "headlights" on a ship or boat are the ones in the head, whether white or red. Not like the headlights on your car - or tractor in your case.
