GPS recommendations ?

Looking to spend $400-$500, dont need the fish finding thing, all boating done in Long Island Sound, just need it to find my way safely home at night, in fog etc and reassurance as to where I am.
Any recommendations / advice on which to get would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Garmin 2010 color if you interested, comes with antenna, bracket and sun cover, all you have to buy is the chip for NY.

The model is 2010 in color. Same as 3010 or 3210 but you can't add radar.
