I repowered my 2005 Marlin with Yamaha 300s in March of 14. Curious what others that have repowered are running for props. I have a full tower on mine and only able to get 5200 rpm, trimmed out. My cavitation plates are where they should be so engine height is not an issue. I'm running the exact prop they are spec for on the GW website. 15.25 17 pitch.

Ruffhouse discusses his repower at the link below where he reported 50 MPH at WOT with 17" props. He didn't specify RPM but based on typical prop-slip rates it is probably close to 5800.

I assume the Yamaha 300's have different gearing than the F250's, as the stock spec for F250's is 15.5 x 17 pitch.
