Have a 95' Islander 268. Vent window rubber hinge wore out. Trying to find a replacement hinge. Taylor sent me a drawing of what they think it is, but ist doesn't look like it will work. Grady White customer service suggested fill the groove with silicon and stick it together. Any one have any ideas who may have made the hinge or alternate fixes. Any info would sure be appreciated.

fill the groove with silicone and stick it together? How is that a repair for a hinge? They didn't really say that did they? They couldn't tell you who supplied it to them? Mine are worn out as well and they're basically always open at this point....I can't find them either....may have to somehow make one from scratch in the shop when I get a chance.

Yep, customer service said it on 7/27. I' sorry I didn't get the individual's name. If you send me your e-mail address I'll forward the drawing(part) from Taylor. May be you can figure it out. I can't make heads or tail out of it.
