I have a 282 and love it the ride is great once you learn how to run the hull. I have heard good things about Pursuits too never rode in that model.

I might be able to give a close comparison. I live, boat and charter on the Gulf and in the Keys. A few years ago, I narrowed my choices down to a Grady 283 center console and a Pursuit 280 center console. With equal power, the performance tests were almost dead even. I had access to both boats for considerable sea trials and in all honesty, I would rate the them just about dead even in terms of ride, appointments, and everything else that matters. There were features about each boat that I liked and disliked. Overall, I liked the looks of the Pursuit better but that is purely subjective. Ultimately, it came down to which boat I could get a better deal on. I ended up with the Grady and am completely satisfied with it. It does everything I want very well. However, I would have been satisfied with either. Both make a fine boat.

Hope this helps.
