Dear members of the forum, greetings to all and thanks for the admission to the directors.
I am about to buy a GRADY WHITE 208 ADVENTURE year 2007 complete with Hard top, it has no flaps and neither the pump for the live tank nor the one for the cockpit washing. The engine that is on the boat is a Suzuki 250cv always year 2007 with 330 hours of motion. The owner asks for 35,000 USD.
I mainly practice trolling live from 1 to 2 knots maximum and vertical fishing as jigging and inckiku, now my questions are:
- Can the boat well accept a yamaha 9.9 high trust auxiliary engine that draws 50kg + a support to hold it aft of another 7 / 8kg? does it not incline on one side?
- Is the suzuki 250cv engine not too heavy? I read on the forum that there are cases in which water enters the stern scuppers and they bathe the feet of those in the cockpit.
- If there are 2 or 3 people in the cockpit aft already seen the large weight of the main engine and any auxiliary, you can have problems of pitching or delfinamento in navigation?
- Since it does not have the electrohydraulic flaps according to you, they are extremely necessary to stabilize the buoyancy of the boat? I had a Robalo 2140 wa and it was a tragedy to navigate, continually leaning to one side or the other, an absurd boat that I hated.
- According to the experience of those who own it, I could find good trolling live or I would have big problems with mobility and fishing rod management, especially considering that I peach mainly alone?
- As I would need to install 2 probes passing through the hull, from which compartment you can easily get to the keel to be able to install seacock for cock washing and through transducers? I saw that just before the tank of the outboard motor, on the ground there is an aspecia of the door glued with rectangular screws, detaching this you get in the hull to operate installation probes through?
- The benzian tank of which material is made? stainless steel, aluminum, or plastic? In your opinion, is it possible to remove it or replace it if necessary?
- What maximum speed should reach the abarca with the Suzuki 250cv?
- What fuel consumption in Liters / Mile do you think will have a cruising speed below 4000g / m?
- Does this boat undergo a lot of roll according to the conditions of the sea with a side wave? or is it much more stable than a Robalo 2140?
- Can you, in your opinion, move the batteries from the stern to a locker inside the cabin to remove weight at the stern?
- having to install the LIVEWELL system that is not included as standard, where you can place the seacock and the live pump?
Do you know where I can find the owner's manual with the drawings of the boat to see if they can help me to understand many things?
What aspects to look to make sure that this boat is perfect and has no structural problems
I apologize for the many questions, but having to buy the boat I would like to make an informed purchase.
Thank you all for your attention.
