I currently have a 93 Gulfstream hull with bracket mounted twin 2000 model 150hp Evinrude FICHTS with 1500 hrs .
Looking to repower with twin 150hp Yamaha 4 strokes. Any issues with the added weight on this year boat with bracket? I have seen some concern issues with other older model bracket Gradys

I have an '88 Gulfstream with twin Yamaha 2S on a bracket and have been looking into this as well (re-power with Yamaha 4S's). My GW/Yamaha dealer is saying no real issues, either with the weight or the clearance between the engines (on the bracket). The 2 Gulfstreams I have seen re-powered with Yamaha 4S there have been a slight change to the scuppers sitting a tad deeper in the water level:
- Yamahas 2 stroke 25 inch shaft 150's are 426lbs
- Yamaha 4 stroke 25 inch shaft 150's are 475-480lbs

Thanks for the response. I like my Evinrudes and would consider Another pair, however
May have found a pair of 4 stroke Yamaha's at the right price very low hrs plus warranty.
All it takes is mo money!!!
