Anybody ever seen it done before? Without a factory option think about having some made. On long trips we do not have nearly enough rod storage. Probably gonna do six on each side. Just would like to see what others have done! Thanks in advance!

I would like to add some on mine too. I have a 330 express. The side ones are not enough and I would love a place to get rods out of way while underway.

The way the aluminum hardtop is set up it would be hard to mount it on the back. I have seen some folks mount them on the side and think this is the best option. Came to this site thinking somebody else may have come up with something! On our trips we can expect anything from grouper to marlin so it is never possible to have to many rods.. It just sucks that we have to take up valuable cabin space or lay down $1000+ combos on the back of the boat.

Funny that they offer them on the 336 as part of the hardtop config but not on the 366. On the other models, all it is is a flat bar that is bolted thru the hardtop and then the bar is bent over the aft end of the top to allow a couple of horizontal pipes and the tulip rod holders to be mounted. I'd have a pipe guy look at it and see if he can design you something. I'm sure you could get 6-8 up there. Just see how low they have to be placed for you to access them - they could get in your way.

Thanks for the responses so far! We just had another discovery yesterday.... Rods over 6'6" won't fit in the front holders. To add insult to injury most 7ft. rods won't fit in the rear holders. I am a little frustrated since we upgraded from a Canyon 336 that had 6 on Hardtop, 6 in the rocket launcher, 6 in the rear (which only hold 4 because the gunwale rod holders interfer on both boats) and 6 short rods in the cabin. The 336 rear holders would also accomodate up to 8ft. rods which I anticipated being the same on the 366. When we loaded the boat for fishing yesterday we ended up leaning most of our rods in the back... Which is not good! I am sure we will find a solution, just a bummer for the time being. I am surprised nobody else has ever run into this :hmm

Have you installed the rod holders yet on your 330 express? Could you share a picture?

Sorry no pictures. Boat shrink wrapped and in RI under 2 feet of snow. Will post in about 6-8 weeks after hell I mean winter is mostly over. Workmanship looks great though.

Anyone have any rod holder mounted on the transom ?

If so pics? I need lots of rod holders as u can tell.

Looks great. Can you send me one pic that shows the entire back end. I really like this but was thinkn of mounting on top of hardtop. We just want a place to get rods out of way and for cruising out and home.

Send me a private message with your email and I will send 4 pictures. For some reason can't post good pictures with phone.
