I found I was not good at keeping the head heated over the winter. Found the cold water triangle knob off the fixture. Looks like a bit of water was left to freeze.

I've ordered the parts and am hoping I can replace the valve and seal for a fix.

Has anyone had to make this fix?

Next winter the boat will be in its new home.

Where did you order parts? My cold water faucet had a bad drip and I was told no parts were available and had to a buy a new $180 faucet.

No, but looks fairly straightforward. The only thing I'd do is use a little Teflon tape.

The parts arrived and seem to be the same. In the realm of nothing is easy, the part was broken by freezing and I cannot get the remainder out of the faucet. The photo shows the amount remaining below the blue line.

I ordered some tools to help me get the remainder of the brass barrel from the faucet. Gambling a few bucks to avoid a new $220 faucet.

Curious did you have anti freeze in the system or were you trying to keep the boat in a heated area. Did your fresh water pump, lines, hot water and other fixtures survive? I cant believe that the full replacement is over 200 bucks but then again I guess I'm not. Good luck with the part extraction

So far this is the only damage I've found. I had pink fluid in the tank but I must have forgotten to run this one faucet and only the cold water. I had an electric heater on in the cuddy with the head door open. I also had 3 chick lights for heat in the genset area for all those pumps.

The killer was the GFI outlet to my boat that was tripped and I didn't discover that for awhile. Also lost our freezer of meat, full season of vac-packed herring.

It turns out the size of knurled fitting for the knob is just different enough to not allow the knob to seat. I'll have to order another part.

The good news is the tool linked above extracted the brass tube that had 1 & 1/2 turns of thread. A new valve stem and I'll be back in business.
