Helm A/C for the 300 Marlin

I didnt make it to the show this year but I was wondering if the 08 Marlins have an A/C vent at the helm?

Bob, I didn't specifically look for A/C in the helm but the 2008 Marlin looked identical to the 2007 model. Their 2008 catalog didn't list any new features for the 300.

Thanks Joe..I was looking for a way to run a duct to the helm this summer without drilling or cutting too much. I figuered if the new marlins had the helm air, it might be easier to just duplicate what they did....Also I have to agree with you after seeing those show prices :shock: ..Looks like we bought at a good time.

I have begged for the option. It now exists on the 330. They are considering it for the 300/305 but the engineers claim it need to be a separater unit so the issue to solve is where to put it.

Helm a/c is one feature which would increase my desire for a new Marlin in a few years.

I have to agree with you mega...I have been using a fan to blow the cold and warm air up but I was thinking if I can install a "T" on the port side aft cabin supply then straight up to the helm,that would do the trick. Also was thinking of putting a blower fan in the duct to push more air to the helm.

Im gonna crawl up there next week and look around.I'll let ya know what I find

I thought the show Marlin had the outlet duct on the port side of bridge wall, looked nearly the size of a small shoe box.

It is an option on the 33 and 36.

Move north boys , you may need a heating option in the spring and fall, and then there is that white stuff.....

On my 2004, I believe giving up some tackle space under either of the helm chairs would provide a great location for a separate heat/ac unit. It would also eliminate the need for long duct runs. In the hot FL and Bahamas sun, I don't think a single stock unit would keep up.
