So, I know, we are all on "lockdown"...and working 60+ hours a week from your home office desk turns into a grind. Me, I find myself, like right now, up at 3-4am..."eh... may as well log into work"....and then, handling issues till 7-8o'clock 7-days a week. It is a lot easier when you have to go into an office away from home.

So, I need pictures, stories, whatever.. lol... of you guys fishing, enjoying your boats... you know.. fishing.. and fishing.. no dad-gum skis.. lol (joking.. mostly.. heh)...

I have time in the evenings, some daylight as well, lights for other times, but going stir crazy.

I see Facebook posts of people out on their boats, but am too busy working to be able to quarantine like they are :p

So, anyone have any good Grady fishing videos or photos?

I have been all over youtube and am running out of them...

Also, anyone have Plex or VR stuff? If so, I have a Plex server with thousands of movies and tv shows, lol... willing to trade access (it is free anyway heh) for some good fishing pictures.. heh

One last thing, small town, and Austin is off limits atm.. @glacierbaze , your map chip is boxed and ready, the next trip to the grocery store, we will drop it in the post box. Sorry, UPS store is closer (it is all like 15-20 miles away)...and they are closed. So, we got an envelope last store trip and will just cover it with enough stamps to get it there.

Russ: I'm sorry but I'm no help to alleviate your stress. I'm retired and I can't get my boat in the water!

All marinas and boat ramps are shut down (at least in certain Counties) as part of the state's lock down. So I'm painting fences and trim (ran out of paint today, thank God), and doing other things around the house that I don't need to go to Home Depot for!

Here’s a few pictures of the proper way to use a Grady White.

Actually, there are many ways to use the Grady White and that’s what makes it the best boat in my opinion. Of course for me, it’s fishing first.

This was our first boat. 19' 1979 SeaSwirl, It took me almost three years to restore it. Replaced the transom and most of the floor, filled every single hole, faired the whole boat, sealed it with epoxy and painted it with Interlux. Until the day I die I will regret getting rid of this boat even if it was horribly underpowered and rode like crap! She was a fish killer though!

Fish on! lol

Yea, just starting to settle down now from the hectic life of 12hr days. Being in the IT field, it was a pretty huge hit on time etc to get everyone ramped up to remote into work all at once. That being said, it is better than a stick in yer eye.. lol

So, slowly getting back moving, albeit my sleep pattern is jacked the heck up now heh. So, I think tonight I will work in the shop on my rod holder for the wall. I need to cut a bunch of 2" holes for the base. I would be working on the boat, but nothin but rain atm.

The good news is, if that there "stimulus check" comes in.... Daddy can get a few months ahead on my plans as it will totally catch us up on everything and put us in a really good place for me to be ready when "sanctions" are lifted ... lol

I also hope to be able to get that ERIPB a lot sooner..... just have to figure which one to get. This will pay off enough to really allow me to have more wiggle room on monthly repairs... I know, we have to pay it back, but that I can do.. heh..

Anyway, headache... think of fishing just made me think too much about what I can do.. that I can't actually DO.. lol :p

Okay, so.. who here can tell me what this picture is? If so, I will tell you a really cool story ;)

Oh, my last trip out on the last boat.

Yea we finalized the refi on the house just before everything went to hell in a handbasket, now with that and our stimulus were in a nice place too. I need to decide on which underwater lights I want and what radar package will work best haha! Plus it'll make the trip to the upholstery shop for new canvas a little easier too.

Lol... it is from McClintock.

When the movie was made, they had no idea how big a hit it would be. The director wanted the weathervane in the credits so took it off the house and back to the studio in Tuscon. It never made it back. Fast forward a few years, the movie was a big hit. They went to put it back and the studio had burned down, so they commissioned the guy that made the original one to make a new one from the photos (it was unique at the time).

He made a few more every few years and sold them. A few years back, I got ahold of the same guy and bought one before he retired, so now have the same weathervane on my house made by the man that made the one in McClintock ;)

Being a John Wayne fan, makes for a cool story. I think heh
