Noticed at the NY Show, a few Gradys had high bilge water alarm, one model had the alarm in the cabin, the other on the bridge.

Never noticed this before.

Good idea ! When did this start?

i bought one....it on the "to do list".....
i had a stern bilge pump break on my way offshore..last year..
age, stress, fault ???.....the plastic gave way just at the hose..
the pump was going but just spraying water over and over in the bilge.
was able to "reclamp" the hose for a temporary fix...
i would not want to have to do that as water is comming in ....
i also have a 4000 gph pump going in w/ a hose i will eigther
mount thru hull or have long enough to reach overboard.

I added one on my boat (2006 228G) and love it. It informs me when I have 3-4 inches of water sloshing around down there. The automatic float bilge pumps are great but a high water alarm makes it better IMHO.

Mega, either the 33x or Marlin had the alarm panel in the cabin.
It might have been the Sailfish where it was mounted on the bridge console.

Good safety feature, along with keeping the wood plugs and mallet on board.

My '08 33 express came with it standard. Mounted on the aft berth outside wall with a test button..

Great, something to use those West and Freeport Marine discount coupons from the Show on !

I saw it on the 305 Express... port side cabin just in front of the galley at about chest high. Also had jack inputs for additional tv/dvd and/or stereo input just above the bilge alarm.
