I have a new problem on my 2007 330 Express with a factory Vacu-Flush system. I had a clogged holding tank vent line (recently-installed and quickly failed charcoal odor filter, since removed and vent fixed) which temporarily pressurized the holding tank, and since that time, when the head is flushed, black water seems to be pushed out (with the discharge key off and the macerator breaker being also off). Obviously I can prevent this by shutting the waste discharge sea cock, but I want to find out what has failed. Is there a pressure seal somewhere along the line (internal in the macerator? or elsewhere?) that might have been damaged when the system got pressurized due to the clogged vent?

Open the pump out fitting and see if that eliminates the problem.

Hmm. Not sure. There are two pumps near the holding and vacuum reservoir. One is the vacuum pump (off to the right). I changed the duck bills last year on it so I know it's not the macerator. I'm assuming one unit on top is the macerator but it doesn't look like a typical Jabsco macerator. Maybe it's a "transfer pump" you mentioned? Here's a picture of what I see there. (The pic is from another post when I installed a remote gauge.)

A transfer pump looks a lot like a Vac pump (suction pump). T-pump and S-pump. The T-pump has 2 duckbills in it rather than 4 like an S-pump and is often black instead of white. It's possible those duckbills got inverted or damaged.
Follow the discharge line from the holding tank. It may or may not first go to a Y-valve depending on if your tank has one or two discharge lines.

Thanks. I haven't found any Y-valve on the boat. The setup is a single head with a single discharge line.
I think next I'll try to get a model number off the pump that's shown in the picture and see if I can find a diagram somewhere.
