How do you take this apart??

It looks like there might be an internal snap ring. Look at roughly 3:30 pm. It looks like the end of the ring, possibly the open spot where the ring compresses to get it into the nozzle. That's as good as I can see from your pics.
I just squirt CRC 56 into it, and work the button until it frees up. I have had to do it once a year or so.
well there is not a lock ring behind it that I can see.
when I try to unscrew the hex end the entire shaft including the press button spins and there is no way for me to anchor it
although now it reacts a bit better.
where do I find CRC 56? I used to have it and I cant find in on Amazon, etc.

Just use any lubricant and work the piston a bit. It may free up for a while but eventually it will need replacement. I believe it is this unit;

You can buy the nozzle alone or the kit wit base, cap and hose. There are different type options of the fitting on the hose that connects to the supply
Shop around online, prices vary widely have found Last time I bought the kit, it was about $45
I may not be remembering correctly but I sort of remember there may be a hex 'socket' on the other end of the piston. If so, stick in an Allen wrench and then use the socket on the other end
