I am installing a radome on my hard top and I am trying to decide if I need to get a taller anchor/all around light. The light is taller than the radome by a few inches. I can't find any regulations that specify how much higher above the radome it needs to be.

No specification that I know of for this measurement.

Only that the all-around light must be clearly visible for 360*. You should be OK with that..

What he said, but if you can, 6" above should be fine. This is what an inspector had told me when he did a VSC, above is fine, but a little higher is better, for your own good too.

Sounds good, you do want other boats to see the white light, other boats who are smaller as well and may be close and looking looking up to you. Otherwise they cannot determine in what direction you are moving relative to them.
