HPDI 200 - how smooth should it run at low RPM?

Seems that Pennzoil no longer makes the full synthetic as I could not find any reference to it anywhere. I used to use their semi synthetic as well.

In my experience many 2 strokes can be rough at low idle. A good fuel cleaner as well as adjusting idle goes a long way.

Many of the 6 cyl 2 strokes turn off 2 cylinders at low revs (below about 1100 revs).
The motors will run rougher. Rougher does not mean, really slow down and 'cough' or sputter or even stall. Those events are not normal but are common for the reasons I mentioned earlier. There are other possible causes that are more serious like a broken or bent reed valve, low or inconsistent high fuel pressure, bad fuel pressure regulator etc. Simple things like old spark plug wires, weak coils... lot's of things

Describing the symptoms may help with a diagnosis. Does the roughness occur only at certain revs . Can you still get up to your normal WOT revs.
Is the problem associated with the motor temp or the air temp?
What are the idle revs when the problem occurs? Do the revs slow down or speed up?
Can you verify strong and consistent spark? ( don't let the shut off cylinders fool your testing.
How old are your low pressure pumps?

Guys, before you go too far down the road describing what has already been talked about at length, this thread is from 2021. It was resurrected talking about quality 2-stroke oil and additives. So it's one of those "morph" threads :)
