I keep my boat in Lake Ontario and it has never been painted.. When I pull the boat there are water spots on the hull that are both visable and you can feel them. Not wanting to polish over them I tried spraying with White Vinegar and they wiped right off leaving a shiny hull just like new.
The boat had been in the slip for a few months and when I pulled it the growth was pretty heavy. I sprayed Sno Bol with a garden sprayer, available at WalMart for $1.97 a qt., then hit it with a pressure washer. Works pretty well but I missed a couple spots that left a brown stain. I sprayed them with Vinegar and they wipped right off.
