Preface, I've owned the boat since 2019. Getting spray on windshield or Strataglass has always annoyed me, as when it dries, the salt residue makes vision tough. Yesterday I went offshore, and there was a quartering sea on the starboard side, so spray was taken. I thought that it would be a good idea to bring a spray bottle with water to help. About 15 minutes later, I realized there is a FW hose in the cockpit. Problem solved, sprayed the windshield and side Strataglass, and shortly thereafter vision returned. Totally, one of those DOH! moments.

Anyone else have a moment like this which is sharable?

Yes.

A few years ago, I put my prescription sunglasses on (need them for close up and small lettering due to getting older/old) to configure a few things on my MFD. I spent about 20 minutes adding some waypoints, renaming some others, etc., etc.

Then, I wanted to get something out of my truck. Everything was blurry and weirdly out of focus, then I felt dizzy, began to think I was having a stroke.....then I realized I still had the Rx sunglasses on....

My moment came when my grandson showed me how he put protective covers on my twin Yamahas. He clipped the cover strap in place
BEFORE working the covers over the engine. I've been struggling with installation for years - trying to buckle up last! He definitely helped this old man!

Many years ago I was offshore trolling for tuna. I took out a tuna feather from the tackle box, uncoiled the leader, and tossed it overboard before I attached the leader to the main line. I didn't like that feather anyway... :D
