Hi

I got a left over cockpit cover that was never installed i have all the snaps and a handheld install machine. My question is how far apart are the snaps and how far in from the edge are the snaps?...if anyone can take a look at theres and let me know that would be great

thanks

On my factory cover, the center of the snaps are approximately 3/4 inch off of the edge of the material. The first snaps are 2 1/2 inches from the center line of the cover. Those two snaps are on either side of the indent for the mast light. The other snaps are on approx 7 in centers. Note that the snap posts on the windshield can be slid in the track. Start with the two center snaps and go from there. Once you get to the area where the posts are fixed, you will need to pull the cover taught, mark the center of the post on the cover and install the snap. Alternate side to side and keep things snug and taught. Keep going until all snaps are installed.
All that said, you might want to get a canvas pro to do the install. It would be worth the money rather than screw up a fairly expensive helm cover.
