I would like to install a windlass on a 1999 208 WITHOUT a bow pulpit. Has anyone seen a 208 with a windlass that did not have a buw pulpit? Someone told me that you could not install a windlass on this boat with no pulpit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

You can use a anchor roller. I see more of those lately than pulpits for aftermarket windlasses.
There are different styles of rollers, some are 'self' releasing. They have an articulated arm thet helps the anchor to release.
Your main issue on the 208 will be reinforcing the anchor rode locker hatch. It , by itself, is not strong enough to support the windlass
